This is the last model produced for Vito by the Beaugnier factory near Paris until the early 1970s. Due to its big bore, this tenor in stunning condition feels in the hands a bit like a Keilwerth with which it shares a big sound, without losing its French character. In our opinion, this close Selmer relative sounds more "German" than its predecessor (see our other Vito tenor). According to the previous owner, this sleeping beauty was resurrected last year to be played intensely during a few months in various settings (big band, concert band). We believe him, as the inside of the case it came with is immaculate while the instrument itself has all but two of the original pads with large flat metal resonators; a lot of life is left in them. This beautiful horn with excellent intonation and lots of power has been regulated and recorked where necessary and is ready for new musical adventures... and if it needed an alto companion, we have the same model under misc. vintage altos!
