Mechanically, this is the same horn as the Yanagisawa 901. The difference is that the body and neck of this horn are made entirely of bronze, not brass. This alloy, which Yanagisawa also employs on their top-of-the-line instrument, the 992, adds more depth and sonic resonance to this already superb instrument. The enhanced timbrel effect is felt from behind, as well as on the listeners side, giving the player a significant advantage over colleagues playing standard brass instruments. This horn has the awesome sonic qualities of the 992 with a price tag that those on a budget can be more comfortable with.
