  This tenor features original lacquer, a high F#, good pads and is right up front with strong high end partials which lend to excellent projection. Manufactured in 1974, this is the "official" final year of Mark VI production. Late VI's tend to have a nice brightness but, don't confuse this with a thin sound. These Selmers have a rich, complex sound that modern horns have not been able to capture. Right up to the end of the run, the Mark VI reigns as king.
