Here's the perfect opportunity to own a 5-digit Mark VI (without a 5-digit price tag) that features all of the response that makes these horns the most sought after tenors of all time. Manufactured in 1962. Original numbered neck. This relacquer has had the body stripped of its lacquer, but not the keys. Fresh pads throughout with Noyek resonators, which have a tendency to liven up a horn's sound. This horn has a nice "buzz" throughout its entire range. Is it the boosters? Is it the horn? Is it the combination of both? Who knows, but it's there and it's sweet. The body of the horn is straight with all minor dings smoothed out nicely. The thumbhook is a fixed metal replacement and the thumbrest on the octave is a smaller, plastic replacement. As the pictures show, the engraving is quite washed-out. A nice, functional case will be included.
