  Original lacquer from 1952 with a matching numbered neck. With an even scale good intonation, the sound is rich, full and slightly spread with a timbre that leans to the darker side. It is very resonant. These models feature the classic sound of the era. This does not have the bright modern tone of late VI's. There have been no repairs or soldering (due to damage) in it's history. Right now it has older pads. We will repad the tenor prior to shipping or offer it at a reduced cost if the new owner would like it as-is and have it redone by a technician of his choice at a later date..
