  These are more commonly called "The Martin Alto" . This classic alto has a warm and lush tone which is common to this model. The overall condition is very nice with it's matching numbered neck and all of the beautiful engraving intact. Hand sprayed spot lacquer was applied to some of the key's touch points in an effort to stabilize some normal wear to the original lacquer. The action is light and the mechanism is quiet and does not have inordinate wear. A resoldered key guard is the only repair. This horn has been put into good playing condition; it has a mixture of old (rivet only) pads and some new pads with rivet and washer resonators in the pads.One or two minor dings were smoothed out nicely. Manufactured in 1945, this is the first year of this particular model. A case is included.
